Vineyard and Winery
Capercaillie Wines was set up in the Hunter Valley by Alasdair Sutherland in late 1995 when he manufactured a little present day winery on an amazing 20 year old vineyard.
Alasdair was a Scot, his legacy is reflected in the very name 'Capercaillie'. It is the Gaelic name given to the dark forests grouse, local to the pine backwoods of Scotland.
In the 20 or more years since the winery was set up, Capercaillie has fabricated a firm client base in local and fare showcases and has picked up a notoriety for being a quality maker with numerous honor winning wines.
To improve the officially broad scope of individual Hunter Valley wines, Capercaillie has picked select bundles of grapes from other demonstrated areas of Australia, making energizing multi-zone mixes which feature climatic and varietal contrasts.
Make Capercaillie Wines an unquestionable requirement stop visit on your next Hunter Valley trip. Our well disposed, learned staff will demonstrate you through our superior wines.
